With the #MastodonForHarris fundraiser approaching $300,000 (!), I thought I'd say a little about why I am going to keep it going, most likely all the way through Inauguration Day. 1/ As some have noticed Harris for President is hiring heavily. https://kamalaharris.com/work-with-us/ 2/ @heidilifeldman

me and my GenX ass are Team Zoomers all the way. i mean, i am the mother of 2, so i've contributed to this generational snarkery. @clarissadelune joder :0 (what a surprise) we just talked all and over about this ... with a friend ... wait we all only talk about this basically, no? money, life bad.... @alemppu @tomw Be careful, you'll get those nerds properly riled up by using "luddite" as a slur! There's a very good analogy here that I don't think you meant, but luddites *were* technologists, they were the ones building the auto-looms, improving them, etc. it wasn't technology they were objecting to, it was the fact that unions were illegal and they were being told that their comfortable well-paid work from home jobs now had to come into a factory floor for a 10th of the pay. Mastodon is the world's biggest community of people who deeply love computers and also think that the world would probably be better off without computers

Grist takes a look at her record in California, the Senate and the White House, and statements she's made in the past. Hey Charles, William, and all you other pretenders: you are hearby evicted. All hail Queen Matilda! @cmconseils a FAR stronger sign than some raving loon getting hit by teleprompter shrapnel. @cmconseils From 2017 and unfortunately it's not Excalibur, but a sword thrown into the lake in the 80s by a dude that was big into neopaganism. My own preferred solution: leave the fucking things turned off. Stop giving computers to people who shouldn’t have them. Smash the looms. You didn’t need a smartphone anyway, it’s been nothing but hassle. Go outside. Smash the looms. Look at the birds. Meet your neighbours. Smash the looms. Smash. The looms. the crazy thing, almost all of it is a private credit asset bubble. it will only take the right global supply train Janga piece to pop it all.
Hint: Watch this spot for insurance default!

Funny, that’s about the amount of money we need to address the #ClimateCrisis globally.
Looks like the timing could not have been better for that metal Les Mis part of the #OpeningCeremony.
Good job #Paris2024 reminding them that there are worse fates than the big boogieman they see in the taxman. #TaxTheRich
