We're preparing a big and important release today, admins should be prepared to update ASAP! ✨ Groups + :pixelfed: We will be resuming Groups development after shipping the new app build! 90% of the code for Groups is done, the last 10% is federation. Groups will ship as an opt-in experiment with limited federation, while we work out the kinks.

@pixelfed I thought this was just a Facebook screenshot, good work on the UI!  @pixelfed Please look into the font problem on iPhones. The app is barely usable when bigger fonts are enabled ... We're aware of an issue affecting some accounts with "random" posts appearing from accounts they do not follow. This is related to our hashtag following feature, some hashtags you previously followed may have not been properly removed. A fix will be rolling out later today! Have you regretted deleting your https://pixelfed.social account, only later to desire to restore your account/username? We ask because we're preparing permanent account deletion federation activities, and have a unique opportunity to restore deleted usernames before we start processing/federating deleted accounts. ✨ Did you know you can react to and comment on Stories (on the web)? Tap the 3 dot menu to open the reactions menu, and it will be sent to that account, even if it's on another server! Story comments and reactions are coming to our mobile app early next year! Pixelfed v0.12 will be released later today, it's quite a big update! Pixelfed hides DMs from accounts you don't follow by default, no notifications are delivered either. You can view DM Requests on the Requests tab on the DMs web page @pixelfed I kinda hope for a general notification like "you have unread message requests"  ✨ How to block domains in Pixelfed 1) Navigate to Admin Dashboard 2) Select Instances 3) Search instance and tap ID, or tap Create New Instance 4) Toggle Banned and then tap Save You can also import and export blocklists, and convert to and from mastodon format using this tool: https://dansup.github.io/masto2pixel/  @pixelfed still not a substitute for federating with servers that openly host fascists. ✂️ Wordpress posts look great in the @pixelfed app Thanks to @fediverse_connection for the heads up and, congrats to @mammoth on the app release!
