 just checked Firefox (iOS) settings and saw that this "studies" bullshit tracking they are doing was turned back on. I definitely had this turned off ages ago and they automatically turned it back on via an update "Mozilla is abusing Firefox Studies to distribute adware (again)"  @liaizon Send usage data *and* Studies got flipped back on in Firefox Focus (iOS) for me as well. 😠 its currently 106 degrees out (in F, sorry im american) and playing with writing my last name in Tifinagh. probably got it really wrong cause I dont know how the vowels work but its still cool to be around such a different script I am directly causing all the climate change personally by taking the absolutely cheapest flights possible. I am sorry your children will have to adapt to unbearable weather and probably have to live on house boats. my own little follow friday #ff discovered the writing of @melt and spent a good hour over breakfast reading their backlog this morning and afterwards came across the incredible street typography finds of @matratype reading wikipedia talk pages about proposed deletions and remembering how fucking hard it is for certain topics to get full coverage of the different views a subject can have    @AllYourSmurf much agree this is a standard feature that should not be put behind a pay wall I dont think any of the communication protocols are looking nearly far enough into the future. I want to work towards infrastructure meant to last 100 years. Domain names (ICANN based at least) are so so fragile. I think content hashed URIs are still the best bet we have at the moment. We need a large cultural movement that is invested in building for the future generations as opposed to the now tho.  @liaizon One trick I use to stir up new ideas is to ask whether a technology will work when we use a genetically inherited biological mesh network and a locally shared second imagination.  @liaizon as long as I get #NomadicIdentity I’m good. I don’t need the fediverse to be a reliable storage of my data; that’s what my website/blog is for. I think of my fedi posts as letters I send out into the ether. @liaizon most people (including me) just use "ma Petewesi" similarly to how we would use "ma Tuwite" or "ma Pepu" |
