"It was 2015 and we lived together in a punk house in Portland called Scowling House. August recorded the first Cinder Well songs I wrote on a four track tape recorder in my bedroom and on the piano in the living room (in a rare moment where it was empty). August and Bryan also printed the first tapes for me to take on tour in Europe."
