I left Twitter because of the algorithm, just to be met with a worse algorithm.  @dansup Bayesian anti-spam is an amazing tool. (Warning, I do this for a living.) Paul Graham was the first to successfully implement it. Others had come first but didn't include metadata (email headers). His followup work, Better Bayesian Filtering, talks about optimizing tokenization, which is definitely worth a look even 20y later, especially since there's less metadata in Fediverse than in email. (CRM114, however, is sadly not worth a look imho.) Wow, this Autospam blog post is turning out to be the longest yet and I'm really excited to release it! Like have the main background white/black but have the center circle contain the colours? Working on a bug fix for the Account Migration feature, once this is out you will be able to move TO or FROM any supported server (Pixelfed, Mastodon, Firefish) @dansup post the images and then the poll in the next post referring to the previous post? ;) Edit: Thanks, no need to like or share anymore! @dansup The black background is better reproducing in black and white— and for people with #disabilities like colour blindness. 25.6K photos imported to https://pixelfed.social since the wired article hit 🚀 Working on some import improvements (IG broken text encoding, webp and videos, mass delete processing imports)  FSEP looks interesting, and @pixelfed will do what we can to support it! How do you ridicule the people on the fediverse without coming across as an entitled arsehole? Many of us are, what the masses in the broader society would call, damaged. I remember sitting and refreshing the page until it died... 10K posts from Instagram have been imported to pixelfed.social in the past 12 hours 👀 The queue is processing recent imports (no backlogs), and has kept up wonderfully with the surge!

  @dansup is it ever supposed to select the next 100? I don’t have a huge number to import but seems to be a little user intensive. I think it’s getting caught up because of videos? Otherwise fantastic, gj!  @dansup set Pixelfed to import 55 posts about 4 hours ago. So there must be a backlog now?
