It is pretty open and small place, but navigating around the pyramid is a pain since it gives too much of an opportunity to sneack up unnoticed.

So the only way to win as defenders is to completely dominate enemies from both sides, which I did once and before I got dominated by defender green team every time.

So it is too open and small so you get almost immideately into a battle so you are targeted by overpoeered enemies, but you can only see one of three sides well at the time and you are required to go half of the arena diameter to get to flag to either defend of capture it

And both flag is taken you have no way of winning as both teams since they take >1/3 of map by default and continue to push and charge specails to bring bend you over conpletely in the last seconds

There are some tactics and better weapons ro use everyone already seem to know, but why is this a freaking requirement to just play some time before the night

I really start to see that fediverse getting separated into several parts is less of a bad thing that people tend to portray it. Almost every time I try to go slightly further than several comfortable information bubbles I’m in I end up very dissapointed in humanity.

Though I would really still prefer big mastodon instances to not do blocking based just on guilt by association, tech behind fediverse is fascinating and it would really go to waste if there would not be any instances where you could just go and freely contact almost every instance regardless if they are good or bad people

I don’t understand the issue people have with shitposting at fediverse that bluesky is supposedly better in that regard.

Like, maybe they are only looking at big mastodon servers since biggest shitpost-oriented servers are less moderated (and filled with what it’s users thing as “humor” and what people who ban them think as “being literal nazi”, but they are both wrong ) and usually defederated by big mastogangs, but it’s not like you cannot find a well-moderated servers with a lot of shitposters - most of fedi bubble I’m in is kinda shitposting and random-thought posting most of their online presence

I think “being intuitive” in regards to interface is both highly subjective and overrated thing and modern users who complain are too used to mobile interface that is so simple children are gonna first time see it and understand.

I thought about it today after using NextCloud and OpenUtau, both for the first time, and, like, I lost about ten seconds for searching functions on a lot of steps, and catched myself on thought “wtf is this it is unintuitive”, but after some thinking, it was actually pretty intuitive since I found them during 10 second while first time using this kind of application (kanban board in NextCloud and musical voice synthesizing in OpenUtau).

There is obvious problems when there is something that even after learning about how it works by trial and error you still think it should not work like that, but in cases above it wasn’t the case. And I think a lot of users trying to use OSS stuff or, for example, Mastodon, are talking about it being hard mostly because it is different in some (it is actually pretty small differences usually) design choices and they think it’s what makes it hard or unintuitive in general, where they just haven’t learned a tool (which software should be) slightly different for them and proprietary popular software is just making it easier for them to use unifying everything at the cost of features and making thinks look easier than they are
