Some backstory: I sat with this song in an "almost finished" state for 3 years, because I held this belief that it needed a traditional chorus instead of just 3 verses that built in intensity.

Then I read Rick Rubin's "The Creative Act" and was absolutely convinced that I HAD finished it years ago. Because it moved ME and resonated with ME.

If the artist is happy with the work, then the work is complete. Screw expectations.

So I polished it up, added bass, mixed, and voila!

In Dec 2022, for the 1st time, we introduced a one-time, in-app appeal. When our users updated to the newest release, their default browser opened the page I've attached.

They only saw this page ONCE.

We received an astounding $3.5m in donations, doubling our 2022 revenue goal in one month. It was the project's biggest month in history.

@killyourfm I really appreciate this move of yours. I usually stop following people who just cross-post.
Even though a fair share of my posts are the same both on Mastodon and Twitter, I've never done cross-posting. IMO the fact that you're willing to post the message manually is a sign that you're also ready to have interactions with your followers which is the essence for social media.
