(I'm not sure when we as a society switched over to calling platforms like this "social media" but let's take it back!)

@killyourfm Have actually found myself having switched to using that phrase myself independently when discussing Mastodon

@killyourfm The term "social network" is now also inherently connected to Facebook, due to the film of the same name. So, while it's a more accurate term, there are still annoying connotations.
