@stefan Before I launched toot.garden 6 months ago the server I was on for about a year vanished, I hadn't even realized it till I tried to log in. I can't remember the URL now since I just started fresh.

@stefan I have this specific account for five years already, and i'm very grateful for our admin for keeping the server alive.
I do explore other fediverse software sometimes, and i have a bunch of accounts on other servers, but this is my first, and so far main account

mastodon.social being down, presumably because they're testing some of their latest features they're working on, and in the process kicking 1 million out of the 11.8 million people* (thanks @nemobis for the correction) from the fediverse is a good reminder to check out other Mastodon instances, or even other fediverse networks.
