@gamingonlinux The guy clearly doesn't get the best thing about the internet --if you don't see the content you want, you can make it yourself.

@gamingonlinux I donโ€™t understand mail like this. There is no obligation to follow and there is no contract or commitment in place.

@gamingonlinux to play this on fedora or debian you need to use the steam client?

@gamingonlinux I was working on a game for a game jam that had the same resizing issues with the window (I'm using KDE on Wayland) and I actually could not figure out how to fix it but around the time the game engine devs uploaded a fix for this since another user already had noticed it so it was just a quick update. Love the bevy devs

Just had to share this, because it really made me laugh from our comments following NVIDIA contributing to open source, and then Microsoft doing open source ๐Ÿคฃ

@gamingonlinux Progress. I'm still pissed at Nvidia for blocking the combination of Windows Remote Desktop + OpenGL, a combination often used in the medical space, then demanding you get Quadros to get that feature.
One of many reasons the relationship to FOSS could be boiled down to youtube.com/watch?v=iYWzMvlj2R for the past decade.

@gamingonlinux

Not overly surprised about MS-DOS. It's an ancient product, only interesting for historical reasons.

The NVIDIA part is interesting, though. Wonder what the big scheme is there.

*Valve lawyers have asked me to confirm you should in fact, not do this, but do this instead:

@gamingonlinux that loop is for holding a hammer. I'd much rather have my steam deck on me though :P

@gamingonlinux Hmm, these used to work and should come back in style for all the devices we carry.

Waxing and Waning

@gamingonlinux they can't possibly open source early versions of windoze as we all know that every version of windows since 3.1 is basically a pretty overlay on the old code.

They didn't even get around to removing fileman until Win2K.

Will we finally see what ugly MS did to push DR-DOS out of the market? Or is this part of MS-DOS 5 and above??

@gamingonlinux I do hope Pascal and earlier architectures will one day be covered as well.

@gamingonlinux I did see an increasing number of videos on YouTube that the support for gaming on the OS go so much better since Valve launched there Steam Deck.

Do you think that Linux will be an competition for Windows in the near future?

I would like to see some alternatives which are easy to use around. The policy Microsoft is currently trying to enforce with there hardware restrictions and AI implementation inside there OS seems to be really bad IMO.

@gamingonlinux Hi, two vital bit of info were missing for my ADHD brain: a) what do Numbats look like and b) are they Cuddly

and I would say a) cute zebra mice: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numbat

and b) look cuddly but are australian, would recommend reading all about them first, not sure about poison or huge jaws

Juankz

@gamingonlinux I don't know if it was fixed on this release or a previous one but finaly streaming from my linux PC to the Steam Deck using Remote Play works fine now

techmetx11

@gamingonlinux Good for them to finish development at around the time where Nintendo starts filing another DMCA takedown request

@gamingonlinux

Tried the spiffy Ultrawide support out, but it thinks I'm on a Steam Deck (Bazzite on a desktop) so it plays at 720p, not so spiffy anymore.

Fixed by editing the Fallout4Prefs.ini file and then write protecting it.

Not ideal, but maybe it helps someone!

@gamingonlinux That's it, nintendo can't withstand people doing fan stuff, if ppl were smart, they would stop buying and playig nintendo games altogether.

@gamingonlinux Why are people are futzing around with obvious copyright issues, when Steamboat Willie Mickey Mouse is right there!
