We've just launched the Tuta Calendar app on Android - and it's blue!!! ๐ฅณ iOS is ready as well, but Apple does not want to approve it... We're trying our best to get it out asap! It looks to have A LOT of the features that I dreamed about ๐๐คฉ If you have the โbandwidthโ for it on this surely busy day, could you answer three small questions?: - Can the calendar be accessed in offline mode? - Is it possible to set it up to show specific countriesโ public holidays? - Is it possible to search calendar entries/events? ๐ฅณ NIST is making updates to their #password standards: Goodbye unnecessary rotations & hello longer maximum password length! (Fun fact: Tuta has no password length limits ๐) What do you think of these changes? How do you create your passwords securely? The #EU member states could not agree on #ChatControl today. The Council Presidency has removed it from the voting agenda because they do not have a sufficient majority. ๐ฅณ We need to stay vocal and make it clear that we will not accept mass #surveillance. ๐ข @Tutanota if it had been voted down would it have been difficult to pass at all? Or: is this just a tactic to get it passed anyway later? At Tuta we think all apps should have zero tracking and no ads - just like ours! ๐ Thoughts? @Tutanota I mainly use it on Android + Webmail(Firefox). Android UI has improved a lot in last few months but it still needs some work to catch up. Tracking, Adv., Mailware etc. are blocked on a dns level. 10% of my DNS requests are blocked by it. ๐ข BREAKING ๐ข Historic agreement on #chatcontrol proposal: EU Parliament wants to remove chat control and safeguard secure encryption. ๐ ๐ชLet's keep pushing for strong privacy rights!๐

 @Tutanota YES! I feel like I see more and more sensible decision from the EU on technological issues these last few years. That is truly heartening. It's #GlobalEncryptionDay! Time to remind everyone that a backdoor "for the good guys only" is simply not possible. By demanding encryption backdoors, politicians are not asking us to choose between security and privacy. EU countries can't find a compromise for chat control - and the EU Parliament is not even involved, yet. This is a great sign that #chatcontrol - one of the most criticized EU laws ever - will fail. @Tutanota The biggest challenge is when they say, โWhy? I have nothing to hide.โ and having to convince them privacy matters. @Tutanota Some clothes dyes are colorless in the infrared so that using a near infrared camera one can see through clothes dyed with them. This was infamous back in the 80s when some cameras had poor IR cut filters and people noticed this.
