@sinituulia @sinituulia I have known a couple of couples, although not well, who had no kitchen in normal sized houses that they owned. One couple moved from the city to the countryside near the town of Aberaron, but not in it and promptly ripped out the kitchen. They had a primary school age child. Went out for every meal and every drink. The choice is not great in that tiny town. Banks made record profits last financial year, as did mining companies and Coles and Woolworths keep making more profits. Australia exports most of the food we grow here, but price gouging is ripping off our farmers. The economy is rigged. It’s not some natural occurrence that has redirected profits away from working people. People are angry, and they’re right to be. This is a “heist facilitated by Labor and Liberals”. The skin of your laundry pods dissolve in the washing machine, right? They dissolve into microplastic. Just pour your laundry soap out of a box or bottle.

@CelloMomOnCars I feel bad now. I actually thought they were good for the environment, that they disolved in some biodegradable way like those bin-bags. @CelloMomOnCars I've never understood the point of those things. People are that lazy that they can't measure out detergent? I have 4,000 Median Daily temperatures recorded at my house over the past 18 years. The past 19 days straight have had a daily median higher than the median for that date over that period. The longest previous run was 18 days back in Aug/Sept 2013. I had only previously recorded 3 temps >25 degrees up to August 26th (2012, 2015, 2021) – we had 2 this past week. 6 days this month had the highest max daily temp I've recorded for that date. I was today years old when I learned that linoleum is an all-natural product not derived from fossil fuels and plastics. Wild - I had always mentally associated it with really tacky looking plasticky floors in houses from the 80s (and of course the NOFX song). Nope. Linseed oil (something I'm learning is in so many great things) and pine resin. And apparently it can actually be made to look quite good and artsy, just, almost nobody seemed to have done so in any house I ever set foot in with it.

@klardotsh Pine resin? Usually it uses sawdust/cork dust as the material the linseed oil coagulates around? @klardotsh I have seen hundreds of shit linoleum floors, and a couple of great ones. I never connected the "lin" with linseed and the "ol" with oil, until your post tho. Duh. @klardotsh Marmoleum is a variety of linoleum and we did our entire place in blue 💙 20 books that have had an impact on who you are. One book a day for 20 days. @vga256 There are scenes from other films interspersed in this, including some that people have identified from Passion of the Christ. It's far more than simple rotoscoping. 20 books that have had an impact on who you are. One book a day for 20 days. @calmeilles Frankreich macht uns es hier vor. Drei bzw. fünf Jahre sind ambitioniert. Frankreich will weg von der unsicheren und extrem teueren Atomenergie. @calmeilles Implementing these structures and climate initiatives is completely doable in the U.S. @calmeilles massive upgrade considering that now everybody can park in the shade let alone all the energy you can harvest with this.

@1HommeAzerty Why is it bugging me so much that I can't figure out the "2 passive incomes" bit? It's just a joke. It doesn't matter, and if you have to have a joke explained, it automatically becomes not funny anyway. Let it go, stupid brain! |
