@pixelfed I am unable to log into the updated app. When I click login it redirects me to the browser when I enter my account details then asks me to approve and loads the screen back to the app screen where it asks me to login again

 mr mike "fediverse hunter" macgirvin has made like half a dozen influential and actively used fedi projects to this day yet y'all probably haven't heard of that, or how he invented Federated Nomadic Identity It's hard to contact him tho, you have to mention a new Mastodon fediverse feature and he'll appear! jokes aside, I wish the fedi gives him his flowers and hypes up his new project (he recently moved on from Streams) Yeah the whole firefish situation is unfortunate Seeing takes like "if you wanna build something, have a team, otherwise you will burn out" and spreading bus-factor concerns to other projects is not cool Yeah, a misskey fork failed, it's not fair to compare that to people and projects with longer and more established track records! It feels right to be back working on the @pixelfed webapp. I've been working to make it much easier to install, removing dependencies and allowing for better scalability. Not to mention fixing account migrations, IG import and a bunch of other things! Can't wait to ship the new landing page design, and then get back to preparing the mobile app for release ๐   @dansup omg y'all are so cute and beautiful, wishing you many years of love and good health :blobcat_hearthug: also: you're D&D!!!

Once I ship this, and pixelfed instances update, you simply need to redo the migration from your old account (it won't break anything, but is limited to once per 7 days in Mastodon) And you're Pixelfed followers will be migrated to your new account! It saddens me to hear that some members of our community have decided to part ways with Pixelfed. I want to thank them for their contributions and feedback. Your voices have been heard, and I remain fully dedicated to making @pixelfed the best it can be. To that end, I'm putting all side projects aside to focus on fixing bugs and accelerating the mobile app release.
