 Love to see @Gargron's new photography website, but please stop asking him to use @pixelfed! It's one thing to suggest Pixelfed to a fediverse newcomer, but I'm sure he is well aware of our project (and he does have a pf account). While I would love to see him more active on pf, I admire and respect his decision to use his own project, and you should too! I made myself a new website for my photography. I couldn't get any CMS or website builder to structure the data the way it made sense to me so I made it from scratch. #BelieveInFilm

 Ohhh! This looks sweet, as! A really nice presentation for a subtle feature that is actually very important to fostering civil behavior online. Love it!  I've been testing the new iteration of Pixelfed Live lately and oh gosh, combined with push notifications, its quite an experience. Once Groups and Sup are released, I'll jump back to Live ๐ The current geotagging support in @pixelfed is not ideal I'm working to overhaul this to allow you to set your location to a specific geographical location (lat/long) and set your own location name, or use a predefined one. I'm working on a FEP for this and a new Discover Map feature that will show you posts in specific boundaries!  @dansup ummm... was going to ask why they would say that, but now i don't get it. i thought FDroid had other apps built with react.  F-Droid is pretty strict about apps being as open-source as possible. I did have a fun incident related to this with the Mastodon app โ they were like "oh you're using FCM so you must be using Google's proprietary library for that, let's slap a NonFreeDeps tag on it". Except I didn't use the Google library, I actually reverse engineered it and reimplemented the bare minimum to get tokens and receive push notifications. Their logic broke, but they were impressed :D That's great. The app will be the gateway to Pixelfed for new users via the app stores. Group them together with a DM buttom edit: Button.. but also DM bottom is correct.   Hello F-Droid again โจ We just pushed the latest version (v1.0.0.51) to our F-Droid repo!    You can build the Pixelfed APK yourself, using this one liner ๐ git clone https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed-rn pxrn && cd pxrn && npm install && cd android && ./gradleW assembleDebug The APK will be in android/app/build/outputs/apk/debug/  Pixelfed for Android (v1.0.0.51) has been sent for review, and I updated the store page listing with the new app logo and screenshots!

 @dansup is bugged on Android, the video is not full screen, then the upper and lower parts are cut. The latest version of Google Play  @dansup Well, I don't think it should work like that. ๐

 @dansup I just installed the app from F-droid, but I unable to login to pixelfed.social. It says that the instance is running an outdated version of Pixelfed. It says that minimum version is v0.11.5 and the instance is running v0.12.3. |

@dansup honestly, that site is super clean. Would be cool to set up a personal site template for 11ty that syndicates to PF. So many interesting projects, so little time.
