Hey @mikedev! Does Streams support nodeinfo or any custom instance info api endpoint? I’d love to add Streams support to https://fedidb.org Keep up the amazing work! 😁 I redesigned the @pixelfed app hashtag feed to use a 3 column grid and a new deduplication algorithm to remove similar posts* and I also added album and video support! Hashtags are being supercharged with follows, recommendations, and autocomplete suggestions ✨ * - Some ppl share the same post across multiple instances I'll update the F-Droid repo after I get some sleep! I have so many exciting things to share later this weekend 😁 Pixelfed.social approaching 100K users 🥳 It may seem like a huge instance, but with 5K MAU, only 5% of users are active. I have a few plans to increase MAU and improve retention!

@dansup reason i didnt use it much after signing up was it was kind of difficult to find people. same issue with masto i guess, but between the two, i just stuck to one platform as I can still follow everyone wherever. I wonder if the overlap of masto users with pixelfed is partly to blame for the lower MAU. (also congrats on the 100k!) @dansup please please pretty please address the username squatting. There are so many unused accounts preventing others from signing up for a username that works for them. This seems to occur mostly on large fedi instances where people want to prevent someone else from taking their preferred name on that instance even if they have no intention of actually using it. I also shipped a new @pixelfed command to easily rewrite S3 media urls! This may be useful if you switch S3 buckets, or deploy a media proxy and need to update urls. Just shipped a fix for mutes in @pixelfed! They are now properly filtered from web and api home/public feeds!  Ugh, need a break from this webpack to vite migration so I’m switching gears and will be working on Sup for the rest of the night

I do have to say that Vite is much faster then webpack and am looking forward to faster build times 🤗 Vue 3 also brings some exciting new opportunities that I can’t wait to build on 🚀 Currently refactoring the @pixelfed webUI Going from Vue 2 to Vue 3, Webpack to Vite and Bootstrap 4 to Bootstrap 5 The first two are done, but the bootstrap 4->5 update is going to take more time as you can see in the attached image Going to wrap up the Vue/Vite update and ship that for now, and get back to the bs update when I have more time!  Implementing some caching in the #pixelfedApp to improve UX as well as improve offline support From my initial testing, it's quite the noticeable improvement and I can't wait to ship this 😁  I shipped a fix to https://fedidb.org relating to the historical stats bug that added fluctuations to the graphs The issue was a race condition in the calculation and cache layers, it is now properly fixed It's quite an embarrassing bug for a service whose purpose is to aggregate and display network stats It won't happen again, and also I'm almost finished the v1 API and documentation!  @dansup Hey, I think Firefish should be marked as Misskey fork on FediDB :)) Edit: Fix is merged + shipped ✨ The IG Import bug with mangled/corrupted captions will be fixed shortly! https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/pull/4726 For those who have already imported, I will be adding a button to remove all imported posts so you can re-import with proper captions!  @dansup awesome! I did import yesterday and I saw the broken characters, was planning to open an issue… 😅  @dansup is there an import guide? It seemed to do it by 100 posts at a time or something but I didn’t have time to do them all so it’s all a mess. Looking forward to remove all and starting over but would love a step by step. May I hope you plan to update the web client at some point? The apps don't technically exist yet (meaning, they aren't in the app stores that I know of).
