I tried to work for Catodon devs, but my free time is so small nowday and I can't do anything :( Switching gears to focus on some Pixelfed bug fixes and improvements! - New Admin Settings Happy Friday! โจ A much anticipated app update will be rolling out to Pixelfed for Android and iOS later today!   I successfully implemented the Stitch feature in Loops, it allows you to combine an existing video with your own without having to download, re-upload, splice, etc. It's similar to TikTok Stitch, and you will have the ability to disable this feature on your own videos so they can't be Stitched!  @dansup how will you represent the dual attribution in the stitched video? it would be interesting if if used some already existing scheme cause its sorta like a video quote post Should I ship some Pixelfed merch? This unnamed model is wearing a custom designed Pixelfed hat and tshirt.

  https://pubkit.net will become the essential toolset to test and design with ActivityPub more effectively. Mark my words ๐  @dansup is it usable against localhost? My big problem is I need automated tests that can tell me when Iโm handling things improperly Pixelfed Stories are one of the most complex ActivityPub activities, using Bearcaps and custom types. I look forward to publishing the spec so other projects can implement ephemeral stories like we have!  @dansup I never really understood the whole concept of stories, even when Instagram introduced them!  @dansup Having done a small amount of work on kbin the whole extensible context thing made my head hurt. It was next to impossible to find documentation on any of the introduced fields. This was especially confusing given that the namespace uris should be a functioning urls, and in many cases weren't. I look forward to seeing something actually documented! Working on https://pubkit.net so I can use it to test https://loops.video federation PubKit will make ActivityPub development much easier ๐

Yahoo acquired Artifact lmao I wonder what Kevin and Mike are up to. Maybe they can help Marissa Mayer redesign her photo sharing app ๐ (Kevin and Mike started Instagram btw) So many great memories playing GTA5, mowing down noobs while Night Moves by Bob Seger played on GTA Radio I used to play GTA5 every day for at least an hour, but I rarely play it now So many good tunes on GTA5! @dansup I never really got into GTA V-- San Andreas, closely followed by Vice City were my jam ๐ I used to play SA:MP/VC:MP mods for too many hours and write scripts. Writing scripts for those mods in my teens is the starting point of my software dev career! |
