Just switched from vim to neovim and tried :smile which was quite a shocker Also, neovim still has the :make coffee and :grep coffee easter eggs that aren't in vim anymore.
I just switched from vim to neovim, so my dotfiles repo only consists of files in ~/.config now! I'm gonna just make ~/.config a Git repo so I don't have to use symlinks!
https://ta180m.exozy.me/posts/emojis-i-hate/ Now I want to make a website visualizing every single Unicode character...
Remote users in federated #Gitea finally have profile pictures! Example: https://git.exozy.me/ta180m@social.exozy.me
If I ever vtube the 3D model will be a V-shaped tube
I'll be live-streaming myself working on the #Gitea #federation UI in about one hour. As usual, the stream is at https://tube.exozy.me/w/oRAXtmt8hoqMSKbcQFH3wA Technical details about the UI implementation: https://gitea.com/Ta180m/gitea/issues/8
So apparently my NVME drive can go up to 65261.8°C (maybe it was designed for a solar probe mission that's going to go *inside* the sun)

@ta180m that’s pretty much exactly 65535K, which is weird that they would store the fractional part separately

@ta180m oh wow, at least it should be durable enough to withstand these temperatures in my case tho, laptop thinks that it's a drone of some sort and constantly spinning some invisible fan at 65krpm. doesn't help with cooling that much tho :blobfoxsad:
First-ever Gitea pull request from a remote instance!!! 🎉🥳 https://git.exozy.me/Ta180m/Hello-world/pulls/3 I've been waiting for this moment for months now! The code hasn't been pushed to https://gitea.com/Ta180m/gitea yet since it's incredibly messy, but I'll clean it up tomorrow and also submit a draft pull request to upstream Gitea. (Technical implementation information: https://gitea.com/Ta180m/gitea/issues/7)

The more I use a todo app, the more efficient I become at checking off things from the list while not actually getting anything done.

@ta180m@social.exozy.me The question is how much you can trust FSF to not make a shit GPLv4. For all his flaws, with Stallman on the board a crappy GPLv4 would have been impossible, but now, with the FSF caught up in scandal after scandal and being unstable who knows who might take over and publish a GPLv4 with questionable content.
:female_presenting_nipple:
@ta180m I used to prefer GPLv3+, because I used to trust the FSF to do the right thing, and make the next version of the GPL something I can stand behind and support. Unfortunately, while that trust is not completely broken yet, it is sufficiently weakened that I now prefer GPLv3-only. (With that in mind, I'm also lazy, so have been using GPLv3+ in recent projects too, because I haven't updated my templates. I suppose I should do that at some point.)
Testing Mastodon <b>HTML</b>... Testing Mastodon **Markdown**...
Crap, neither of those work 😦 AP notes are supposed to contain HTML content by default, so I guess Mastodon just doesn't want your posts to have any markup?
hopefully Gitea can finish their 5-year-long migration to gitea.com soon and then I can finally delete my github account!
Classic James P.
@ta180m All they have left is to move the repository for Gitea itself (very easy to do) to gitea.com, then move all the rest of the repos (maybe still contain GitHub mirrors and accept PRs for a while just in case), and then we're done!
If you're interested in contributing to #Gitea #federation, I updated an old comment I wrote: https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/18240#issuecomment-1071103414 The two most important links are: - https://gitea.com/Ta180m/gitea/wiki/Useful-links for learning ActivityPub and ForgeFed - The big task list tracker: https://gitea.com/Ta180m/gitea/issues/3
AWWWW YEAH #Gitea <-> Mastodon federated following is looking good now! 🎉 If you want to try it out, go to https://YOURINSTANCE.com/authorize_interaction?uri=https://git.exozy.me/api/v1/activitypub/user/guest
The code still needs a lot of cleanup before I can submit a PR to Gitea, but I'll do that tomorrow! |
According to my nginx log, 85.49% of the viewers of that post were bots 😦
will you be using mostly Forge-specific activity types or will you use ActivityStreams core vocabulary? (i'm asking to know if it would be possible to interact from microblogging-related instance software (Mastodon, Pleroma, etc), for example to create or comment on issues, things like that)
