Losing half your money in divorce and still becoming the richest person in the world again proves we can take 90% of their wealth and they'd still be fine.
#TaxTheRich https://about.fb.com/news/2024/06/what-is-the-fediverse/ "What are the benefits of open social networking?" - Facebook erroneously known as Meta asks. Well, one benefit is not having to deal with you fuckers, have you thought of that particular one? Windows 11. Phone Link is Microsoft's late and closed source alternative to KDE Connect. It requires you sign in to a Microsoft Account for it to work. This means all the transactions between your phone and your PC are monitored and sucked up by Microsoft.

Interesting that they bothered to make this considering KDE Connect already works on Windows @kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social I use KDE connect (always connected) and #LocalSend sometimes #plainapp depends on my need and mood. Does the job and reliable than link(I've used it, bad experience). The best thing about being a PC gamer is that there is absolutely some indie game out there that is totally unmarketable that no one buys, but to you it's peak. To you it's the game you've always been looking for, one of your favorites of all time
And weird shit like that can't really exist on consoles because of Dev kit costs and all the ROI needed to justify a console port

@a1ba I hate this "when in doubt, let the user do it" most of FOSS software has. We're great at shifting responsibility and calling it "freedom". I'm not against customizability, it's great if you want to do it. Thing is, you gotta *want* to do it, not *have* to do it. Upd: I've read a wonderful phrase today: "All config is debt" Сегодня я окончательно убедился в том, что профессионально ебланить на работе мне позволяет именно Linux. We can't have parachutes, pilots will just fly recklessly. We can't have seat belts; they'll just cause more car accidents. We can't water the plants, they'll just grow dependent on water. We can't have unconditional basic income, people will just stop working. ALL OF THESE CLAIMS ARE STUPID

@scottsantens Every study I've read about UBI has had good results. Healthcare costs went down because people were able to eat better, and were able to access healthcare services earlier and have better and cheaper outcomes because of it. Fewer homeless people remained homeless, adding to the stability of their lives which contributed to their health and job security. People kept working, missing fewer days of work. People were more entrepreneurial and so actually managed to create jobs. |
