@christianselig Apollo is my favorite iPhone app, and has been for a few years. The work you did on it is just incredible, to say the least. This is a really sad outcome but the days ahead will be better. ❤️

@christianselig By the way Christian, I don't think you need to offer refunds to customers, except maybe customers who bought the app within 1 month of the announcement by Reddit. It's not your fault they are closing.

I bought your app but certainly don't expect a refund.

As I longer use Apple devices I have no way of declining it, if offered. So to make it simple, just don't offer refunds.

I'm sure people would understand.

@christianselig I just read the thread on Reddit, truly horrible. Have you maybe considered creating an Apollo-like Mastodon client? The ability to control pretty much everything with just swiping is something I’ve never seen anywhere else.

Apollo and Tweetbot (rip), and now Ivory, have been three of my favorite apps on iPhone/iPad. I was thrilled to see Apollo in the keynote Monday. You’ve built a beautiful thing and you should be so proud. You made Reddit useable for me.

@christianselig I’ve never been a heavy been a Reddit user and this is the end of the line for me. Apollo has been a joy to use and I will miss it, but moreover I do not want to be part of supporting this kind of behaviour. I’m too disillusioned to believe it will matter, but I hope others will delete their accounts as well. It’s the only power end users have in the end.

It was also amazing seeing friend’s icons in the app and on my Home Screen. Pixel pals was a delight. I’m excited to see what you do next - you’re super talented and make great software.

I also check on Movie / TV news, check on the awesome work of other people at r/analog ... The people sitting high up in Reddit's building don't know what they're doing imo.
