@Gargron took me a while to get a haircut a few months into covid last year, but around my apartment, there are a bunch of barber shops open where i can walk in. but i don't get fancy cuts like you do, so i guess it's different 💅

@healyn As far as I know, due to Covid all barber shops require appointments at the moment, and because they were only allowed to work again starting March 1, there is a lot of demand

@Gargron wow. over here that hasn't been the case for a while (mask is required, but it's walk-in at barber shops)

@healyn We've been living with a lot of restrictions and closed businesses for a long time, though still not as draconian as the UK where you can't even go for a walk

@Gargron the outdoor restrictions are just kinda dumb at this point. not saying there should be packed outdoor concerts, but covid hasn't been spread by people walking by each other on a sidewalk

@healyn A lot of the measures seem like the government flailing its arms around to make the impression of doing something

Most importantly I think people would've tolerated a complete lockdown for 4 weeks to put a complete stop to the virus, but now that we've had these semi-measures for more than a year with little to show for it, people begin to stop caring

@Gargron nobody knew how it spread at first, then it became some garbage "culture war" bullshit. seems like it's clear masks are make a huge difference, but this is something that largely spreads when people are indoors with each other, especially in places that don't have good ventilation systems

@Gargron @healyn
// that's essentially what I'm saying since it started..
all this insecure, double standard measures won't help anybody. Rather than a hard cut for a clear amount of time to really put a stop to this.

Hang in there buddy - apparently thats all we can do now..
