Saw this over on mastodon.online, all the blues replaced with purples.

It is now quite hard to see whether a post is boosted on my laptop's screen.

The old blue was much easier to distinguish.

It doesn't matter what colour the logo is, but please keep the interface colours useable with better contrast.

FYI, the new purple used in the call to action button widget has a contrast that kinda makes it 'swim' annoyingly in my vision. It makes the text 'dance' quite a bit more and thus makes it harder to read for me.

can you make clear, that mastodon is a software that powers fediverse instances and that the fediverse is the network you are part of? many users seem not to get that and i think it's due to unclear communication, on the homepage

but mastodon is not a network! the fediverse is, but never mentioned

@Mastodon @oakstudios This eye-burning electric purple is very trendy rn (Twitch, Discord) but it’s an accessibility nightmare for those with impaired vision. Blue is boring, but blue was not ubiquitous for no reason—it’s the colour the human eye can tolerate the longest. This is very much not. It looks great, it’s just a poor and uninclusive choice upon which to base your whole brand.
