@rail_ people worrying about people "abusing" the system if you don't imprison them for an 8½ hour period every day. @wyatt8740 and maybe they'd be right!!!! but it's definitely not the kind of "gotcha" they think it is xD like yeah if you create a possibility for non-oppressive environment in a systematically oppressive scheme or system, (some) people will definitely try to use it as much as they can I FUCKING WONDER WHY @ephemeromorph yeah me too. But the main point is that the people who get on your back if you're one or two minutes late for work every day aren't being productive, just toxic. @wyatt8740 @enigmatico He probably ruined his chances of getting hired on the corposhill roleplay site by posting this though.
@wyatt8740 this is quite basic. My only comment is that burnout takes 6-12 months to repair so nurture a workplace culture that doesn’t lead to burnout. ☺️ @mikaellundin i'm simultaneously seeking a new job and terrified of the prospect of landing a new job because I haven't healed from my last one yet, even though all things considered the last company was one of the best i've ever worked for. @wyatt8740 I hear you. I went from one toxic work environment to another until I said enough and became self employed. It’s not for everyone, but the absence of a boss makes the difference for me. @mikaellundin I want to do that, but the main problem is that almost everything i want to do involves ancient stuff no one cares about commercially (or art which i need to get better at before i can do that) @wyatt8740 can’t say that all client work is what I’d love to do, but it’s still of my choosing. I choose to do this tedious task they hire me for and 100% of the compensation goes to me. The bad things aren’t so bad because I have chosen them myself. @wyatt8740@tech.lgbt We need this in all work environments, it should be mandated by law @wyatt8740 what gives me anxiety is not knowing that beforehand. Is there a way to detect these kind of work environments on the interview phase? The good ones I mean. :blobcatcoffee: |
@wyatt8740 i thought this kind of posts were a myth
