@klardotsh It's nice, we've been here in peak motorboat activity season, and it's like.. you don't see any birds, all the wildlife runs away to hide from that all noise. @neauoire @klardotsh yea, I was gonna say, being at Refuge Cove at peak madness isn't any better. It's a such a fucking mess XD... (there's 4 hours of free courtesy moorage to run errands, so the constant shuffling, and ensuing wakes, makes it crazy). @ruby0x1 for sure! There's no light pollution up here, we might be able to see them 🤞 @neauoire almost for sure, it's so strong today, seeing them all over where unusual I think! I'll try anyway from vancouver but alas 😅 @ruby0x1 I hope you get to see some as well! Will report back tomorrow : ) @neauoire while not super bright to the naked eye cos of city lights, they were visible and I could easily see them vividly with a phone camera @tim_lavoie We'll be coming up quadra tomorrow to wait for yocultas : )

@tty yeah! It's the first time we walk on solid ground since Port McNeil, it's nice. @neauoire southeast alaska is so lovely this time of year @clarity I'm certain it will be once we make it out of this thick fogbank, we can berely see further than Pino's bow. Have you ever been to LeConte glacier? We were thinking of heading there for a while : ) @neauoire I haven't!! Other than the ferries between Juneau Sitka and Ketchikan I've never really had the chance to boat around the channels. Really envious of yall tbh!

@tty It's been too fast! We came across lots of places that we have made a mental note of to return to and explore properly. We've been feeling a bit hurried by the weather because it's often favorable to go up, and we just can't resist wanting to sail north, so we cast off even tho we might be in places that we like. We don't have a strict plan, but we'll go meet some glaciers and things, but by end of july, we'll start making our way down to spend time in these nice places we found. |
Desolation is really desolate outside of summer, we don't encounter anyone anywhere.
