@samhenrigold Same. I went to one Halloween party years ago, got plastered, and said "Never again." Now I spend my days talking to my cats and watching documentaries. @samhenrigold I kind of miss this age of the Internet, such simple weird times. I remember when everything was positioned using tables and menus comprised of images. But also, I totally wouldn't want to have to work around how limiting HTML and CSS was at the time. Not to mention how awful it was for accessibility. You've heard about the arrow in the FedEx logo, you might've heard about the hidden spoon as well. But have you spotted the final thing hidden in the logo? That's right, it's 60 Minutes correspondent Bill Whitaker. Take a closer look at the designs all around you! you know, #dragrace lost me last week with the lipsync to the tiktok nightcore song but hoping they win me back this week with (squints at paper) MEGHAN TRAINOR?! OH GOD PLEASE NO someone help me figure out my news notification situation. i want to get notified for absolutely critical news and nothing else. for instance, i wish i had known about the insurrection while it was happening and not during the 7pm news. but i don’t wanna hear about anything short of that. @samhenrigold local? national? other? Your solution (especially with the collapse of Twitter & unreliability of FB) will likely be limited to multi pronged OSINT for the foreseeable future. It'll also be easier the more urban your area. Check openmhz for the US - many places also have discord or other chats set up for first responders. Most of these are not locked for viewing & you can configure push notifications. It's work, and it's not simple - but you can get what you want. Good luck. @samhenrigold i’ve tried to get this but I still get notifications from apps like CNN whenever taylor swift smiles at a camera. i keep looking for new settings to change but i can’t find anything. this is what they consider breaking news. @samhenrigold Ok you inspired me to set up @apnews, I think that’s what you’re looking for. I can also remove the “BREAKING: ” from each post since that’s like…implied the aforementioned design analysis! podcasts got such a nice facelift in iOS 17, take a look at some of the visuals for inspo for your app 👇 I was doing some spelunking while writing a design analysis thread for ACROSS DOWN @samhenrigold I’ve watched this show probably a dozen times and I still find new jokes with each rewatch @stern Hey Mike! Got a design library question for ya: with the emphasized variants in Figma, what do these map to in code? The `.bold()` modifier? Someone on Twitter found these variants, I can't imagine this is the blessed way to do things. But this seems to map the closest to these variants: https://twitter.com/SebJVidal/status/1764627314065727524 tired: single-payer healthcare THE BLOODY MARY T I K T O K VERISON?! ARE YOU YANKING MY CHAIN????? WHAT IS THIS NIGHTCORE CLOWNERY DOING ON MY DVR. I WILL BE SUING.

@samhenrigold the only thing I don’t love about my iPod Hi-Fi is that the white plastic is yellowing just a little bit. Maybe a vinyl wrap is in the cards. which one Anonymous poll

@samhenrigold my pedantic self: hmm… this is referring to a "petrol station" in North America, unless… their device could be set to en-UK… But no, their clock is in 12h mode! – OBJECTION!
