FSR3 is actually slower for low FPS scenarios (raytracing 30fps) but amazing for +60fps scenarios. Much better resolution and frametimes. The frame generation option feels lile butter. Also, the dynamic resoluton option of FSR3 doesn't impact frametimes negatively anymore like FSR2. Which is amazing. @gamingonlinux I tested it yesterday. Actually the current state of Cyberpunk degraded since I tested it during Fedora 39, early 40 times. I have rtx4090 on nvidia proprietary driver, since they release explicit sync and fixed wayland bugs, they dropped in performance. I was previously able to get 59,87 average fps targeting 60 with 4k dlss quality and rt psycho, now it dropped to average 50 with the latest proton-ge. Running on wine-ge 8-26 gives about 55 average, and no way to hit 60. @gamingonlinux loosening their fishing nets for now, I guess. I think this whole ordeal angered me personally because learning a new engine and APIs means dedicating so much time that you learn a new way of thinking. If a company then uses that to trap an entire community, in my opinion that's just evil. @gamingonlinux I think based on several bits anecdotal evidence we can safely classify Denuvo DRM removal as just another performance improvement. @gamingonlinux We removed Denuvo, also performance hitches. The two are totally unrelated though 😉 Wizard of Legend 2 comes to Early Access on October 3 https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/09/wizard-of-legend-2-comes-to-early-access-on-october-3/ @gamingonlinux The first one was so good! Yooo this was a Feature Request for Flatpak, or a concept for GNOMEs portal or something. And they just did that.
This is a really nice step, hopefully the Flatpak side can reuse some code and speed things up.
