@gamingonlinux I just feel that they have destroyed all trust developers have with Unity. If I were to develop a game, I wouldn't want to risk years of work just on some external company mucking it up. @gamingonlinux I am sorry, babe don't break up with me, I will fixed this up, you see, everything will be fine. (unity after many bull poop done) Fine! I don't need you too, go be happy with other FOSS tools. (Unity after see many of older user don't came back) I am sorry, please, come back, I need you, I swear I will change, look, I even start to rollback that thing you hated (Unity now). @gamingonlinux loosening their fishing nets for now, I guess. I think this whole ordeal angered me personally because learning a new engine and APIs means dedicating so much time that you learn a new way of thinking. If a company then uses that to trap an entire community, in my opinion that's just evil. |
@gamingonlinux too late, everyone is migrating away from Unity already, nobody in their right mind would or should trust a company that has already fucked everyone over and just gave middlefingers in response to any complaints until they started to die out.
They'd have to do a whole lot more to regain trust, like open sourcing to be able to compete with Godot, and I Very Much Doubt they ever would do that.
