I have two text files in my Downloads:

"security-key.txt"
"security.txt"

I have no idea what they were for, or what the keys inside were for. Oh no.

Gonna have to keep them in my downloads for the next few years. It's like keeping all those wires in a box I will never use ๐Ÿ™ƒ ๐Ÿ™ƒ ๐Ÿ™ƒ

@gamingonlinux only until you get rid of the box of wires. The week after youโ€™ll be kicking yourself because you needed something out of it. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

@gamingonlinux copy them delete the ones in downloads and see what breaks

jedifindtrick

@gamingonlinux to be fair. The minute you throw the box away, youโ€™ll need at least 5 cables from it.

voytrekk

@gamingonlinux Brotato has prevented me from starting games that I want to play too often.

Every time I make a YouTube video I am reminded: there's a *lot* of irrationally angry people on the internet.

@gamingonlinux Better to be angry at anonymous strangers than be angry at yourself, I guess. People are weird.

Xymon

@gamingonlinux that makes me angry to hear. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‡

@gamingonlinux steep learning curve, but it's pretty fun. I'm digging it, but not as much as fireteam elite. I was hoping for multiplayer, but looks like it's not to be.

Man I hope my finances work out that I can get one of them soon. I have just over a thousand games in my library and a good 50% of them are playable on the Deck.

@gamingonlinux Oh, that error between matches was a Proton thing? It never seemed to be only me experiencing it. Cool that it's fixed though. The ranked grind should now be much easier.

Anyone else having issues with the Steam Deck being docked lately with resolution being wrong and the screen is cut off?

Liam @ GamingOnLinux ๐Ÿง๐ŸŽฎ

NVM. Figured it out. Steam Deck now defaults to 1080p with my capture card, before the recent stable updates it was always 720p. Weird. Just had to adjust some OBS settings for it...

Hidden Variable Studios / Autumn Games made some relatively small changes to Skullgirls. To deal with sexualization, allusions to real-world hate groups etc. All the changes sound pretty sane.

I nominate this incident for 2023's Annual End of Year List Article Festival, in the categories of:

- Fighting Genre and Fighting Genre Accessories Cringe
- "Politics in videogames! POLITICS IN VIDEOGAMES!"
- Notice-Me-Daddy Steam Review behaviour.

@gamingonlinux the issue is not that something was changed, but what was changed and how.
In the past there were changes to reduce the amount of fanservice, which initially wasn't met with lots of love, but eventually got accepted because it really was just a "meh" thing.
This time they are making changes that seem very random, like recoloring panties from white to black for one single shot, or removing content like the soviet announcer or entire pages of the 10$ artbook DLC.
Thats not quite ok

Pelayo

@gamingonlinux I wonder how many of the people complaining had completely forgotten about having that game in their libraries, and had no plans of touching it again.

Jay Faulkner

@gamingonlinux oh man I remember playing an early version of this on a garden centre checkout running Debian (long story ๐Ÿ˜…) about a decade ago! Glad to see it's still rocking
