#MAGA MACHINE is the #Project2025 #heritagefoundation BS plan to... (see image)

"In practice, Schedule F could easily purge qualified subject experts from advisory positions at the first sign of disobedience and turn federal agencies into ultra-partisan arms of the Heritage Foundation's mission."

Firing disloyal government personnel

One of the most concerning expansions of presidential authority would come if Trump found himself in a position to reinstate an executive order titled Schedule F, which is strongly endorsed by Project 2025. Trump introduced Schedule F at the end of his first term and it was quickly reversed by President Biden.

If Trump wins this time around, he could use Schedule F to transform the U.S. government into a MAGA machine by reclassifying thousands of nonpartisan federal employees into "at-will" workers who can be replaced via political appointment.

Project 2025 suggests that Schedule F be applied to discharge career civil service workers whom Trump deems "nonperforming," or those who get in the way of the administration's attempts at reform. (People magazine)

@stevesilberman

Project 2025 has nothing to do with Trump

Maybe you should read the 900 page document and understand what it is.

If you want to understand Trump maybe you should read FW Buckley or the RNC Plarform

Project 2025 is a media smokescreen so you won’t read the RNC Platform

Can’t wait for the DNC Platform

@stevesilberman This is a bit atypical for People, no? What’s the backstory on this?

My God, this is the best poem I've read in months. "When My Daughter Tells Me I was Never Punk," by Jessica Walsh.

WHEN MY DAUGHTER TELLS ME I WAS NEVER PUNK • JESSICA WALSH I say, honey, my being alive is punk. I made my life out of grudges when I saw the odds placed against me, when my role was to marry a man who'd kill me and give me my hot young death, a guy named Charles who would have and nearly did - the day I said fuck you and threw his keys in the snow? That was punk.
When I called a nice guy who'd loved me steady and thought what if I can try staying alive, that was punk; when I had my last drink and surrendered the scene, that too was punk, and yes I miss the me who would be dead because I was a bottle rocket, a pipe bomb of a good time but my being alive is the middle finger I never put down-
I did not let these days go by, I clawed each one from dirt, and when I get my nails done I am stockpiling weapons, when I buy groceries, when 1 gas up the car, I am threatening to survive long enough to piss off a million awful people to be alive in spite of, I am promising to stay flagrantly alive:
This is my beautiful house. I am this beautiful wife.
How did I get here, I say, by my fucking teeth.

Say what you will about generative AI, it's certainly crammed all of my timelines with creepy fake-looking images that my friends keep posting as "Amazing!!" -- even friends who are art aficionados and I thought would know better. It's having a strange effect on me, which is a growing distaste and distrust of images themselves, as if the whole visible universe is being covered with some kind of slime.

Again, it's worth noting how OVERT conservatives have become about trashing folks with disabilities in classic #Nazi fashion. #Trump definitely set a new bar for this by mocking a disabled reporter at the podium and not being immediately condemned by #GOP. Now it's open season.

RT @yasmin_poole Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal and one of the largest individual donors in US politics, just referred to Greta Thunberg as part of the "#autistic children’s brigade” in his Oxford address.

@stevesilberman Indeed. The comments are not clumsy nor naive. The language is balls out offensive and that’s the intention. The strategy is to further polarise, inflame and exploit. We need to watch and play the ball. These people want us to watch them. That way the ball is moved and we don’t even realise.

@stevesilberman I wonder how former paypaler and also autistic Elmo would feel about this? 🤔
