We're going to make a #Mastodon plushie and it's going to be very cute! I'll share more details once the prototype is done—the concept art is very promising and our partners at FRESH have a good track record of making plushies 🙂

I am so glad I found this post again. I immediately put it to the test: it works! Thank you. But I had not boosted, and I wanted to post this "it works!" comment, but the feed scrolled it away from me. But i found it again, and all is well. This is my Mastodon short thriller story for the day. @Gargron a fantastic song that I’ll never be able to get my friends into because some of the lyrics sound like “cagar caralho” which in Brazil means “to poop dicks” @Gargron I'm listening #Heilung since 2018 and it's one of the best #FolkMetal bands now. An unique sound and #music. I love it. @Gargron One hour loop -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQA7fY2Gzo4 :blobhaj_sunglasses: It started with me opting not to keep smart lights when I moved. I found the routine of pressing physical switches more rewarding than the tap of a touch screen. I've since gotten into vinyl, and film photography. I still stream music, and I still take photos with my iPhone when it's more convenient, but I find the physicality of analog devices uniquely rewarding.

@Gargron Like real books and the turning of the page and the choice of paper that says something about the book as much as the cover design, the font chosen and the layout of the page that allows room for notes in the margin or not, underlining or not. Not to mention, the smell of an old bookstore would never be the same if it was full of Kindles, right? 😉 @Gargron the body demands catharsis. We really have reached the point where we've created such a gulf between body and mind using our bodies is seen as a novelty. I want to say the medium is the message, our body is the journey, never forget that The fragmentation among friends that follows Twitter’s collapse is exactly the kind of problem that Mastodon and the social web solves for. Imagine that you don’t have to pick and choose which new platform to adopt, or make and maintain a million accounts—because you can follow anyone regardless of which platform they’re on. That’s our reality.

@Gargron No it's not. You can't even follow all your friends on Mastodon. I tried for over a year, and this is the fifth account I made on the Fediverse. but again and again some vainglorious admin hit the "fediblock" button. Then I was told I'm not allowed to criticize admins and causing too much trouble with my complaints. Goodbye Mastodon, hello Bluesky. @Gargron Am I being stupid? I've lost Twitter friends to Mastodon, Threads and Bluesky, so in what sense are they all in one place? You can now search for a bunch more stuff on mastodon.social! If you're on web, the popout on the search bar will tell you. Designing this stuff to work properly was pretty fun!

@Gargron An example of the Bristol Byzantine style. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Byzantine @Gargron these photos look great! Keep them coming 😀 Are you scanning the negatives to digitize them?

@Gargron, I love the "historical" ambience of the shadow and light affect on the street and buildings. Even the shadows cast by people just outside the range of the photo. I almost expect an older mode of travel. The #Heilung show was incredible. It wasn’t as much music as it was an experience. #ArcTanGent
