And so it was that I returned from the gym, and the third week of going to the gym was completed

I'm curious how much space you could save using something like pg_column_byte_packer in practice. I'm tempted to do one last experiment on the faulty server I intend to cancel, by re-ordering the columns on Mastodon's schema and then using logical replication, to see the difference in disk space used. @Gargron Vadodara Escort is an independent escort service in Vadodara that's a good, beautiful quality. @Gargron Good afternoon. Is it possible to relay mastodon.social to my own personal instance? I'm trying to find new people to follow. #itsmyfirstday

@Gargron Bio-Degradable plastics are good for the environment and can solve this problem. However Oxy-degradable plastics are also marketed and sold as bio degradable plastics. Bio degradable plastics are created from biologically sourced materials. Oxy degradable plastics are regular plastics with additives which helps the plastic to degrade when exposed to sunlight and oxygen. Unlike Bio degradable plastics, oxy degradable plastics exist as micro plastic after breaking. @Gargron I have no doubt it was a lie by the people initialy promoting it. That doesn't mean recycling of plastic has to stay a lie. Or even that it will stay a lie. The previous primary was almost entirely unresponsive with 80% iowait, now up to 99% iowait. That machine must be cursed. It was unstable before, but Hetzner support investigated it and didn't find anything faulty. I believe they even replaced the drives once for me.

@Gargron This is actually really cool. And referencing @kingannoy, it would probably require a good balance between taking enough key points and bandwidth usage. Because I'd assume that given enough key points, we'd be able to pick up on subtle body language. Finally combined Consul, consul-template and Vault to automatically generate/update Mastodon's config files. Even if I don't proceed with setting up automated Postgres failover it'll be a lot quicker for me to do it manually. #devops

@Gargron It'd be really cool if you'd show us, how this mstdn-instance is hosted. Things like which servers are required, which infrastructure-components you are using (e.g. Consul, pgsql, monitoriing or other DevOps best-practices, and how much maintenance work it is to keep this instance alive. It is funny to me that a tool with service health checks like Consul, in an event that a node disappears from the cluster for any reason, completely forgets it ever existed

@Gargron I think there’s been enough tea on this website for one day!
