At 10:30 CST (1 hour from this post timestamp), we will be opening up alpha slots at the following link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/4Y8gUsMq Keep in mind: 1. This is an early alpha. Many things are missing and consider everything a work in progress. 2. Send us feedback via the contact button in the settings or beta@tapbots.com. Don’t use the TestFlight feedback system. @ivory is there a list of reported bugs? You have a lot of testers now and I don’t want to flood you. Looks like a combination of making the post "followers only" & tons of people refreshing our instance page caused the federation to misbehave quite badly. We are truly sorry about that. To make it up to some of you, at 10:30PM CST (about 30 minutes from this post timestamp) we’re going to re-open spots in the same link (https://testflight.apple.com/join/S1BDT4Ab) as before on TestFlight. That way you can beat up Apple’s server instead of our own. Again, refresh the testflight link, not our server page. 😅

Will Ivory require macOS 12 when released? I’ve been using Tweetbot on 11.7.1 and can’t upgrade to 12.

@ivory this was like how long it takes my kids to do something when I say “5 minutes until screens are off” .. 16-20 minutes later… 😂 We are going to post access to our alpha tonight and then again tomorrow morning, our time (CST UTC-6), so it’s fair for people around the world. Hello people of the Fediverse! Some of you may have heard that a new Mastodon client, Ivory, is in development for iOS (and Mac!). This is true! Tapbots is going all in on Mastodon and we hope this place continues to grow and thrive. Tweetbot will continue to be developed alongside Ivory as a lot of code is shared. A new Mac version of Tweetbot and Ivory are also currently in development and we are working hard on getting those towards a public beta state.
