I Ching Hexagram 56. Success through smallness. Sailing in Europe sounds really nice, you sail for 3 hours and you're in a different country. In the North Pacific, you sail for 3 days and you're still in the same fjord.

@rolltime Outage limited to the US east coast. I've had this idea in mind for a while of a sokoban where you program your character's actions in advance.

@neauoire ooo I've always liked mechanics like this, the board game Robo Rally comes to mind! Anyone interested in doing a catlang(forth, factor, mirth, kitten, etc..) gamejam that spans this month and the next? 🐱

I find that I'm always more receptive to Santoka's peotry when I haven't washed for a few weeks. Even if there are not really any visible changes, tinkering with the details of my site to make it *just right* brings me such satisfaction 🥰 Here is the total path for the trip we did through Southeast Alaska, from Prince Rupert and back, this past month :)... @theneko a few years ago, you sent me an old magazine clipping of someone who was cruising from a seaplane, do you still have that around somewhere? @neauoire I think I had a pdf of the Life Magazine issue with the article on, but I can't quite find it. Here's an extensive article on it with all the pics though: https://www.vintagewings.ca/stories/sweet-dreams-and-nightmares And a video on the article: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TaBTjHVx6A I'll send over the pdf if I can find it! The #Berlin #Permacomputing meetup is tonight at 19:00! @mntmn will tell us the story of building up hardware and software stacks from scratch with the goal of making a computer designed for longevity, flexibility and openness. There will be hands-on demonstrations and a super-sweet keyboard. We want to expand our community. Non-nerd-identified, newbies and perma-curious are especially welcome! We're looking for a cheap room/sublet for a couple of weeks this month in the UK. If you know of anything, please let me know. Thank you. |
