This is Fenwicke. Or “Fenny Kruger,” as I like to call him, because he is unable to retract or control his claws. So his love is painful.

I’m not a big fan of cats. But he’s pretty cool. He likes to chill with me after everyone goes to bed. And he likes to play fetch with hairbands.

On this final day of Women’s History Month, let us celebrate and honor the work that women do for us. Maria Kalman has written a book titled “Women Holding Things,” which is both a literal and metaphorical reference to how women hold us up.

@markwyner
She is quite talented.
I also liked the one in the article with the birds, bat and flowers. Beautifully done.

@markwyner Wow. Very nice art. Thanks for sharing that.

@markwyner I learned this from the images of owls in strange sleep positions.

Be warned: these photos can be disturbing when you can't identify the subject. I initially mistook a sleeping owl for a dead baby gorilla! 😅

Some words about Mastodon moderation:

1. It’s hard. No decision is easy and there’s lots of gray area even with explicit rules.
2. We’ll sometimes debate for a long time on a single post. We do our best to make the right call.
3. Even so, we sometimes make mistakes. We’re willing to accept appeals when that happens.
4. We get a lot of things right. You can’t even imagine some of the traumatic things we see.

NPR’s data shows that they lost nothing after being ostracized by the psychotic white billionaire. It counters the idea that leaving Twitter is a loss. Let’s dismiss the idea that we need to be held hostage on any platform.

At this point, any entity remaining on XTwitterChan is openly complicit in promoting the continuance of Elonivsky Mushovite's Platform of Lies and Deceit.

If you lack confidence/spine to the point you can't bring yourself to leave, I'm happy to be somewhere where I don't have to hear what you have to say.
Because you've given away your integrity and your ability to be taken seriously.
You deserve not to be heard.

Goes for advertisers, too.

With all of the horrible things happening in the world, it’s nice to find the wins. Especially in the area of our environment. A group called Coral Guardian is restoring coral reefs, and it’s quite magnificent.

These photos represent 7 years of work on the Indonesia’s Hatamin Island. In this they have increased the fish population by 5x with 53k corals restored.

More wins like this, please.

@markwyner the future seems so dark sometimes that it feels good to remind that it is possible

@markwyner how much it cost in money?
This days - businesses intentionally destroy ecosystem to make one more successful business about "restoring ecosystem" and make even more money, all those "eco-companies" are commercial and for profit.

> Coral Guardian is a non-governmental organisation.
