It's interesting how an expressed indifference to the death of obnoxiously rich people triggers a response along the lines of 'Don't wish for someone's death!'
I'm not referencing anything specific but taking in the content on this and other platforms.
I find that impulse to tone police an expression of meh about rich folks dying (prolly - I mean, they're dead by now, right?) suuuuuper interesting.
🤔 Why do we care about what happens to rich people? 🤷🏾♀️ Am I supposed to care? 🤔 And if I don't care, then is that the same as 'wishing for' death? (that's rhetorical because it's clear that it's not)
But the *impulse*....maaaan, folks have internalized a lot of capitalist BS.
Because, at the end of the day, there is NO solidarity with the wealthy. None.

What shared interests or common values can be shared between us (who are wage-earning non-1%ers - even those of us who might be on a really ad hoc and sketch upper-income scale)?
What shared values hold us and the rich together....other than envy or greed?
Merit? Nah. Merit doesn't exist. And merit doesn't justify hoarding.
Ambition? Nah. Ambition to acquire money is just....greed. Ambition to improve the world? Do the rich do that? I don't think the actual historical or research record shows that.
Political bonds? Nope. Ideological bonds? Def not.
Caping for the wealthy makes no sense to me.

Also, if it needs to be repeated: Don't EVER bring your phone to a march or protest.
Make it *harder* not easier for the government to surveil you exercising your right to protest.
Write necessary info and phone numbers on your arm.
