He acabat de traduir #Obfuscate al català i traduit el següent article de @itsfoss que fa un bon resum de l'aplicació:

@itsfoss "Ubuntu rose to popularity because it made Linux simpler for the end user. 'Linux for human beings' was its motto. I don't see this motto mentioned anywhere now. I wonder if that too is deliberate."

This made me realise something, on Mastodon we can hide our subscribers and subscriptions, but if the people we subscribe to and who subscribe to us don't do the same, it's useless... I mean, yes it makes it harder to get that information, but it doesn't make it impossible to get.

retiolus

I tried with a small account, on a small server, these subscribers and subscriptions are hidden. All I had to do was scan all the accounts on this server to find 63% of its subscriptions.

"I want to tell you that I am sorry, and that I tried". These three minutes are not easy to listen to, and even harder to share. youtu.be/yJvczRkQHK0?si=sKeNgD @StuartClimate

@wolfgangcramer @StuartClimate it's funny to watch a dramatized reading of a letter about climate change from a man who's from the very class of people that are destroying our planet. Instead of reading a letter through fake tears, he could condemn his fellow elites, burn down some private jets, literally anything other than some fake fuckin tears on a stage. Typical neo-Liberal virtue signaling.

Look at this, scraping followers and following with a depth level of 2 of one notorious Fediverse user, I can get who I am following and who is following me, even if that is hidden from my profile.

With a little bit of time, with this, I can basically get followers and following of any Fediverse private account.

retiolus

For this not to work, the two accounts having a relationship must respond to one or both of these conditions at the same time: the account must be private, the followers and following hidden.

retiolus

I'm getting back to my project of trying to make social graphs from an account on the Fediverse. Gosh, with a depth of level 3 (followers of followers of my followers) you don't realise how many accounts you're linked to! The script hasn't finished running and there are already more than 210,000 accounts in my case.

People often ask me if there are any free, public tools for getting statistics from Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc. Like a hashtag use in a time-range or interactions with a post. I don't know of any. As far as I know, there aren't any, which is the problem with proprietary networks...

The only free public tool I know of in this kind is Google Trends: trends.google.com/trends/

@itsfoss looks like the future of people using autonomous driving cars "am awake, am awake, am awake"

@itsfoss ...in a comment below this post (on IG 🫣) I discovered CTRL+R, and that changed my history 🙏

This week we had the regular #Tusky Team meeting, and among a lot of good news (new team members, new release coming soon, huge refactorings being done) we also found some areas where we could need some help ->

We are thinking that it might be a good idea to have an external person or organization review our code from a security point of view. I have seen good security reviews of Android apps before, but I don't remember who did them so the first question here is if anyone has recommendations for us? Thanks to our sponsors we can pay for this.

Sachant que saisir le #ConseilÉtat pour contester une décision de la #CNIL est peu faisable pour un particulier sans connaissances en droit, existe-t-il des organisations / associations qui aident et orientent dans ce sens-là ?

Maybe 7 years using Linux now, and I just discovered #UnattendedUpgrades. I feel like an idiot.

I hadn't realised that the #Conversations interface had finally been redesigned! So cool!

Pleeeeeease @Tutanota how can I tag a sender as NOT SPAM!? I'm going crazy.

timmy :flow:

@retiolus @Tutanota have you tried inbox rules, then add the sender to a rule directing them to your inbox? i think that’s what did it for me, but it’s been a while
