2011: cryptocurrency allows you to Be Your Own Bank 2021: cryptocurrency allows you to Be Your Own banksy after an hour of technical investigation, i can only conclude that at LEAST one of the following is true 1) the internet is bad something i've noticed recently is that *applications* these days don't deal well with very slow internet connections or switches between connections. e.g. on safari on iOS, you can type in a web address laboriously using the onscreen keyboard, hit "go" and then, the page tries to load, but never loads because it can't resolve the hostname or whatever as your connection is down. so you hit "refresh" to try to reload the page, and the contents of the URL bar vanish! you have to type it all again! lamps on your legs: lamps for legs. so that even when its dark you can see which shoes youre wearing the web is a kind of box where you write "what are the worlds best socks" and it says "these are the worlds best socks" and you buy them and they're the world's worst socks ive been researching socks for the first time in my life, and it seems that to people who care about what kind of socks they buy, theres only two types of socks: "I'm Going To Alaska And I Might Not Return" and "Socks That Literally Have Butter In Them" its fucked up nowadays, you cant just make a thing. you have to make a running series of that thing, which goes on forever, and has a patreon, a mailing list, a discord channel, an official wiki, a fan wiki, a prima strategy guide, its own cryptocurrency, flag, national anthem, nuclear deterrent, etc emoticons which are canonized as consecutive characters within the ASCII standard: ' ( . / ;< => ^_` Windows [ _ ] [ □ ] [ ✖ ] ❌ A Goblin has occurred [ Ok ] i'm trying to work out whether i saw "the Brave Little Toaster" as an extremely young child, because if i did, i was so young that i only remember a few extremely vague images from the film, and also that i found it very scary, so my parents probably took it away and never showed it to me again. i haven't seen it since but the plot seems to feature what would be called "mild peril" so maybe it checks out @jk The movie features multiple traumatizing scenes and I have watched it many times as a young child. I have turned out fine |
