Hi, printer expert here! This is not funny, printers only do when they're in extreme distress...

@nikitonsky is it something like that? https://github.com/3timeslazy/crdt-over-fs/tree/main Sharing variables between condition and body branch in `cond`. Did you ever needed that? WDYT? #clojure It occurred to me that with variable fonts you can technically have one font that can stay pixel-perfect at several different sizes (10, 11 and 12 in this example, but can be any number) It’s like hinting, but, you know, with modern tools Note: I mangled the story of ClojureDart's creation. The compiler was already underway before Roam decided they wanted it. If you are an artist, you have to be really good or famous. But if you are a dog, you just need to sleep funny Every automatic door I saw has one or more notes: please do not try to open, it’s automatic! Which means “bad design” — good design doesn’t need explanation. But why is it bad? I have meditated on it a bit and concluded that it’s bad because door handles are still there. Remove them and you won’t need any notes.

@nikitonsky for every automatic door automation can be disabled at least for maintenance and there you need a handle @nikitonsky the handle is a safety feature for of the door breaks or electric is gone. So removing it will not be enough Maybe if you make it handle you can push in or put it very low so you force of habit does not kick in @nikitonsky no, removing the handle can't prevent people from forcing the door by pushing. What is really missing in most automatic doors is a clutch to disengage the support when a certain amount of force is applied. Nothing saddens me more than seeing 3d models pretending to move their legs but those legs are not sticking to the ground. Come on game devs. I trust you can do better!

@nikitonsky "Butt load" is an actual unit: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butt_(unit) @nikitonsky we're closer in time to Cleopatra than she was to Rameses I who built the great pyramid. Likewise closer in time to T-rex than it was to Stegosaurus. Humanity has been around for such a short time. @nikitonsky farming was invented before the first blue-eyed person was born (and all blue-eyed people are descended from that one person) Meanwhile, videos from the latest Clojure Berlin meetup are up: Dave Liepmann — ClojureDart: an experience report https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKQuBYZ3HGA Nikita Prokopov — Clj-reload: A smarter way to reload code https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEDTXF6SQeE I also recorded a less rushed version of the talk on clj-reload, watch here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srvFRG5tdg8 So Meetup now tries to manipulate their user’s sense of urgency? “Three people are looking at the same apartment right now!” There’s even no good way to get rid of this (I DID go and already connected, I don’t need Meetup to force me to)

It would be rad if Apple instead of ugly tinting for icons implemented good custom icons for apps. I know it can be done through shortcuts but there’s annoying popup when you do it i will try one more time SEND ME YOUR FUCKING WEBSITE AND OR BLOG I WANNA LOOK AT YOUR COOL FUCKING WEBSITE AND OR BLOG FEEL FREE TO BOOST THIS REQUEST What’s the point of removing labels if it doesn’t give you extra space for more icons? How it is / how it should be |
