4th day of fighting my YouTube shorts addiction. I'll fight it just as I fought the TikTok addiction a couple years back, as a winner. @bouncepaw lfg, I'm right behind you :) yea tiktok surprisingly just missed me, and I'm not too bad with the regular social media these days, youtube short has got me though. Found a loophole in my YouTube Shorts addiction fighting scheme. You see, back when I was addicted to TikTok in 2021, I downloaded quite a bit of videos I liked back then. And now my phone has little free space. Combine the two: I have to watch these videos and delete the ones that aren't still funny. It's so wonderful to look at my old notes and ideas from 2019—2021 (all neatly organized in a Mycorrhiza, of course). Young Bounce was so cool and imaginative! Teach me! Extra delight happens when 4-year-old ideas reemerge. @forgejo is considering becoming a hard fork of Gitea. This is a change I warmly welcome. I'm somewhat surprised it is “being considered” and not “was done last year”. I expect most forks to be hard forks.  @bouncepaw What is a hard fork? What are its major differences between Forgejo and Gitea? :thinking: @bouncepaw @forgejo they had to determine if they had solid shoulders for this first :p  Watched the old #Dune film. I have never interacted with these servers nor users, hey! My inbox is full of these. #FediDev folks, why is it like that?  The domain calls it Bookmark. My mind calls it Post. The ActivityPub spec calls it Note. All three terms are in #Betula codebase 😣. I guess I'll have to get rid of the Post one. I am colorful today. Light blue jeans, pink longsleeve, seafoam buff, mustard cap (beanie?), dark green coat. Boots, backpack and shirt are black though, and my hair is dark.  I'm thinking of making an überfeed that aggregates my digital garden, Telegram channel, Boosty page and whatnot, provide these cool XML styles so the feed looks like a web page, and encourage people to subscribe to it. Thrifted something, now I basically have a Saul Goodman cosplay. Will go to the Database exam in it. * The riff starts * @bouncepaw if yr interested in diy music stuff, all of the local house venues in my area mainly post their flyers on Instagram so I caved and made an account to follow them. I also follow all the local musicians that I see perform cause they'll inevitably post flyers for other venues I hadnt heard of in the area I told my neighbor about Radiohead and he started listening to them a lot, focusing on the early albums. Then I told him that In Rainbows is the best album, he checked it out, now he listens to it a couple times //a day//. Ridiculous, but I'm somewhat proud. I guess I should listen to it today as well.  Yay I spilled energy drink on my keyboard. It's the first time in my life I spilled something like that on a laptop. What's worst is that I drink energy drinks so rare!
