Gregory's Server@forgejo is considering becoming a hard fork of Gitea. This is a change I warmly welcome. I'm somewhat surprised it is “being considered” and not “was done last year”. I expect most forks to be hard forks.

@toby3d soft fork is when changes are rebased or cherry picked on top of the upstream. Hard fork is when you just commit on top in your own way. Forgejo has additional features on top of Gitea @bouncepaw @forgejo they had to determine if they had solid shoulders for this first :p |
