now that that classes are back, I only have one (1) weekend which I spend on maintenance. you know, dishes, laundry, grocery, cooking, all this crazy stuff. after a little bedrotting, there isn't much time life for homework, and no time left for me to fix my hacked server. it's a good thing only low-traffic sites were hosted on it! The receptionists begging me to stop making appointments in person and to make them by phone instead. One small pint,I found that 30s was not enough for validating signatures. Some servers are *slow*! MRI is not a dramatic procedure, as in House M.D., it's quite long and boring. They also have you take off glasses, so you can't even look at that 1-bit screen  @bouncepaw 😬 a horrible feeling. Hope you can get a nice up to date replacement running with all your stuff 🙏 Status update: the tech support had to reinstall the server. So, I have to set it up all over again. This is toilsome!  Been away for a while but maybe gonna try to give mastodon a fair shake again. So uh... here's some recent illustration work as an ice re-breaker....    I don't think I want to live on sailboat anymore. It's impractical, dangerous, cold, wet, and the network connectivity is bad. New release: nrio-usb-disk, a tool to use the DS Linker Writer card to connect your Slot-1 cartridges to a PC as USB mass storage. This acts as an open-source replacement for the DS Linker "uDisk" tool, but this one supports any flashcart. I think ephemeral posts should be the default. It definitely should be the default for bots. It absolutely should must be the default for bots that repost feeds from elsewhere. I have such a bot and its purpose is to be news, not an archive.  I'm the opposite. Nothing should ever be ephemeral. Everything you post should exist forever by default. If I wanted something to be ephemeral, I'd call or say it in person.  Insomnia is a modern curse. Who's out there hexing me? I went to bed at time, I was eepy, what else do you want? 🤬  |
