writing short running stupid programs in rust is stupid, makes it harder to fix and contribute to them and must be stopped :(
you don't need lifetimes, if your programs lifetime is less than 5 seconds >:(
goddamnit, in compiled world people have Haskell for writing stuff if you want proper type system, Go if you want a trigger-disciplined version of C, Zig if you just want C, Nim if you want all of aforementioned — and yet everyone embraces that weird cult of RiiR
and yes, your thing is probably better off solved using 2 lines of Nushell or god-forbid-Python. Go ahead, and just iterate on that solution instead of making 1KLOC boilerplate with 5 dependencies just for error message handling.
