If you'll be around Seattle on October 5 and 6 and you're into #retrocomputing then you're in luck because those are the spacetime coordinates for the Fall Interim Computer Festival run by the fine folks of @SDF.

After a ~year of development, the 1:3 scale working VT100 terminal is ready to go!

It has a tiny working USB keyboard with ~80 keys. It has a cute little 3.5" display panel. It may be the cutest thing I've ever created but you tell me!

To celebrate the completion of what turned out to be a bear of a project, for one week there's a $75 discount code for friends of smol retros: DINGDANGFRIENDS

I'm pretty excited by this news from the #KiCAD 8 announcement page: "With the help of 8 new librarians joining the effort, the library gained over 1500 new symbols and 760 footprints, and had thousands of updates to fix or improve existing parts."

It seems like a sweet project is coming together right around the time when I'm ready for more work. Banking info and numbers have been traded so that seems positive. If money lands then I'll be able to talk (and release WIP videos) about it.

Can you guess my new project by this part? (dimensions are close but not yet exactly correct)

Is there a fediverse equivalent to Printables, Thangs, or SketchFab? A Pixelfed or Funkwhale but for 3D assets instead of pix or podcasts.

@trevorflowers sorta related I just found icosa.gallery which is an open source community maintained repository for 3d models that got dumped by google in a reshuffle. probably the perfect sort of project that would benefit from federation with other 3d model repositories
