Btw, you can append .json to a pixelfed post permalink to view the activitypub object! Vigorous self promotion because the fediverse wants to know what you're doing. Clark Terry said, you've got to blow your own horn. @dansup I am new to Mastodon, so I cannot be taken so seriously; however, I ask myself if Mastodon could get money from ads, and use that money to hire more programmers. Now comes something I believe, to use ads' money to hire sociologists and psychologists, aiming the promotion of necessary public debates - like the two current wars and other social issues - keeping positive and respectful debates. I believe Mastodon will become the de-facto social network. We need money to make it happen. The internet can be homophobic. The internet can be racist. Most fediverse developers have privilege. We have a responsibility to use that privilege to build a better, more inclusive online space. Let's start listening to marginalized voices, amplify their experiences, and work together to create a Fediverse where everyone feels safe and welcome.

  @dansup The only phobia I have is covid phobia. Gender preferences shouldn't scare anyone. On the pickleball court yesterday a man asked if another gentleman could join the gay trio and people got all pissy about it. People are evil. It's childish. My mom is starting her own biz, in a male dominated field and I'm so proud of her! So naturally, I'm building a custom CRM/Scheduling webapp + app to cut down costs, and handling marketing/social media as one could say I have some experience 😎 She dropped out of college to raise us and later got a career in the trades, but at every job she wasn't treated fairly So it means a lot to me to be able to help her become her own boss, shes my hero ❤️

Can’t wait to see these pizzas mapped: https://pixelfed.social/NickSherman I am very curious though: What data is used to place the items on the map? Will you finally start using geotag metadata from uploads? And/or allow location to be set with specific coordinates? The current situation for assigning vague/arbitrary/ambiguous place names has left me wanting for more, for several reasons. Pixelfed Stories will soon support the sound library, post embeds, polls, reactions and optional push notifications reminders! We’re going all in on Stories, but will make it easy to hide them if you want 😎

@pixelfed Is there a way to hide "text only" posts? In pixelfed I just want to see photos, that's the main reason I switched to it from mastodon...  @pixelfed I really should give Pixelfed another go - need to find a use case for it for my life! It a basic photo sharing platform. Clean and crisp. The new @pixelfed app was created only 109 days ago from scratch, so its 3 months old. I'm using Next for a few pf sites, Expo for the app and Nuxt for the new webUI They all have their strengths, and it's cool to be able to write both vue and react daily 😎 me to myself when I draft a new Pixelfed post: you are going to have to pry the ✨ emoji from my cold dead hands, IM USING IT i don't need an intervention, I need new emojis 🤠  |
