@dansup could I ask you for your thoughts on the weight of video hosting and the gatekeeping effect it has onto instances that are tighter on resources. I see this as a glass ceiling for anyone hosting PeerTube, and if PixelFed goes in that direction, I'm afraid that users would not be aware that uploading videos is very costly to the platform. Probably loops.video is an attempt to do this better, but I don´t know about it.
