I know some people are simply awkward in text. It took years to convince my boss to stop texting in caps, for example. But it does make me curious if I'm the only one that thinks so. People seem to fave and boost these awkward posts pretty freely.  I don't follow him but nothing recent looks like what you say. Provide examples and qualify your argument. @dansup @pixelfed I would consider moving the “take a break” section down into its own CTA in green / yellow before the actual delete account step. And if folks click delete; show a modal giving final warning about it being irrecoverable action and have a green CTA again saying “never mind, just freeze my account instead” - a pattern like that have worked wonders for me at work when’re similar happened You may have noticed pixelfed.social is slower than usual, after some investigation, I have discovered that Lemmy is behind the sudden surge in traffic. While we are implementing Groups, we expected additional load from Lemmy and other Group supported projects However, I never anticipated how much activity we'd get from Lemmy To put this in perspective, lemmy.world has sent more activities to us than mastodon.social (to pixelfed.social) I'm overhauling the inbox again to better handle this!

Apparently spammers are using Pixelfed to host spam images, taking advantage of our media cache. I’m working on a fix!  Just shipped (long awaited) support for album embeds! You can now embed album/carousel posts, and profile embeds now include album/carousel posts 😎 Special thanks to @andypiper for reminding me to fix this. Speaking of federation support, rumour has it that Pixelfed is working on custom domain support so you can bring your own domain to any Pixelfed instance, allowing you even more control, and a fallback in the event you need to migrate and preserve your handle/identity! 👀

 @dansup would be great to have the embeds working for posts with multiple images. Right now our studio webpage is missing the majority of our posts in the embedded profile grid (as only posts with single images are displayed). Also, being prompted for a 2FA token every time I open the website is frustrating. And, having imported my Instagram posts, I can't get that data in the export or page back to the start of my posts. All of that said… I appreciate you pushing things forwards as well! To honor pride month, you can now choose between two pride icons in Pixelix🏳️🌈 (Be sure you installed the latest update) To help deal with the additional load on pixelfed.social, I made some config changes that will require you to login (on web) again, my apologies! I'll be closely monitoring the server and in case I need to take more drastic action.
