yup, it's a good device to get some distraction-free writing done (ok, except for posting here with my phone)

@mntmn Do you find the glossy screen hard to use at all? This past week I was doing some stuff outside on my Macbook with a glossy screen, and (aside from it being too bright) the glossy screen caused some readability issues.

@mntmn For those of us who are local, is there any way to back that doesn't result in our devices being shipped to the US then back to Europe?

@mntmn Looks awesome! Does the USB type C's support DP alt mode? Then it would just be a single cable to hook up to full-size monitor, keyboard, etc.

an MNT Reform customer in the US was able to get an industrial repair company to fix their damaged laptop on the board level independently using only the public documentation for <$280.

@mntmn For the next time I inevitably break something, where was this shop? Lot easier/cheaper than shipping it back to y'all in Germany π

@mntmn I don't think I see this on the KiCAD render you put in the blog post so I'll remark here: it would be extremely helpful for repairability purposes to put the USB-C ports (and especially the one that is power delivery) on a daughterboard or some other easily replaceable medium we could buy spares of Source for my feedback: my phone currently only **barely** grips a charging cable because I got stuff jammed deep into the port, and it's not feasible to source replacement USB-C ports for it

@mntmn I'd love to get one. Unfortunately too expensive for me. But definitely the best laptop made in the last decade in terms of hardware and firmware (no proprietary BIOS nor Intel ME). |
