D-1 specs (subject to change): - M.2 key B (WWAN) Linux running on RISC-V on MNT RKX7! A completely* open computer down to the CPU gateware. * the only wart is that it needs Vivado's synthesize/place+route tools to build the gateware source for Kintex-7 @mntmn how you can make laptop built around SoM even more awesome? Make a SoM with damn FPGA.
hard to describe this feeling! enjoy digital (LiteX) made a bitfile for MNT RKX7 and i loaded it into the FPGA and it just works! it's real: the first assembled MNT RKX7. an open hardware kintex-7 fpga SoM with many peripherals for MNT Reform (or other projects). |
@mntmn I'd love to get one. Unfortunately too expensive for me. But definitely the best laptop made in the last decade in terms of hardware and firmware (no proprietary BIOS nor Intel ME).

I must quit idly spending money. I must not even vaguely entertain the thought of buying a MNT Reform laptop.
