Gregory's Server@yurnidiot LoL it’s funny but what cat can’t jump that? Fred can jump close to 5 foot flat footed with no bounce and he’s a giant Norwegian forest cat my best friends cat is a tiny beautiful little thing and she can do 6 foot without even battting an eyelash.

 @JMMaok @yurnidiot Interesting. I find it odd that as their environment changes & includes more opportunities to jump with the rewards it often entails, that they wouldn’t adapt. Maybe not be thrilled but certainly skilled.  If only he knew what he was missing! Anything above about waist high might as well be the astral plane. A bird flew in a window & he flat footed a 5’ leap to catch it. As I understand it, cats either learn to jump during an early developmental window, or they don’t ever really learn. For example, rescue cats that spend that age in a shelter may not learn to jump. We have a non-jumper now, but previously had a cat that no baby gate could contain (and no way she was fitting through the bars!)
I hope these folks bought that gate for a baby or a dog.
