@andrewbriscoe @JosephMeyer Thanks! It’s certainly possible. I’m not even sure which fire this was from because we have had so many in the last few years. @mediocratese It’s sad. Luckily the lakes and parks in this area were saved but a lot was burnt. @andrewbriscoe Over the ages Forest Fires have lead to regeneration of habitat but not like we’re seeing today. Logging companies going in right away for salvage opportunities and then replanting ‘desirable’ monoculture ‘product’. 🤦♂️ @andrewbriscoe luce bonito, pero es un triste paisaje comido por el fuego. He conocido varios sitios cono ese. @antoine3141592 It is sad. Unfortunately it’s something that we’re going to have to live with. 🙁 @northernlights Sorry, I should have included that. It was taken yesterday in the Jefferson Wilderness in the Central Cascades mountain range in Oregon. @silberspur Thanks! I liked the contrast. It is in the Jefferson Wilderness in the Central Cascades mountain range in Oregon. @andrewbriscoe Are these the Three Sisters in the back? Sad view, and though not fire related, it's sadly also a growing reality in parts of Germany (e.g. Bavarian Forest, Harz Mountains). Main culprits here are drought conditions, groundwater deficits, weakened tree health and resulting bark beetle infestations to finish them off... @toxi That’s sad too! I believe we have the beetle problem in spots. They definitely aren’t the three sisters but i’m not sure exactly what they are. I don’t remember seeing them before. I didn’t have internet when I wrote the alt so I will try to figure it out. |
@andrewbriscoe
Doesn't look too vivid 🤔
