Sad view, and though not fire related, it's sadly also a growing reality in parts of Germany (e.g. Bavarian Forest, Harz Mountains). Main culprits here are drought conditions, groundwater deficits, weakened tree health and resulting bark beetle infestations to finish them off...
@toxi That’s sad too! I believe we have the beetle problem in spots. They definitely aren’t the three sisters but i’m not sure exactly what they are. I don’t remember seeing them before. I didn’t have internet when I wrote the alt so I will try to figure it out.
