For European Sleeper this puts pressure on the Prague extension (the original route plan) and the Barcelona route. Let’s also not forget Amsterdam-Berlin is also a huge market. One weird advantage: the Nightjets in Belgium take the HSL, which means they need approval for their carriages so the part to Brussels is kina small. With first delivery of the new NJs for Germany they hopefully can use that 200kmh stock. However ES does no high speed lines (yet, Barcelona will) so easier to find stock @maartje I hope it, but I‘m not sure that ES and ÖBB real ride on different days… https://www.spravazeleznic.cz/documents/50004227/160273252/k090.pdf The ES Praha extension is getting real btw it is already timetabled 😊 @maartje@blahaj.social And I'm positively surprised that they found a solution that doesn't destroy other long-distance. @maartje These NightJets won’t stop in Antwerp, as opposed to the European Sleeper? (I loved boarding in Antwerp Central Station!) |
@maartje So that's where Arriva's budget has been getting diverted to lately... /joke :blobnervous2:
